Leon Britton maintains Swansea must focus on Stoke ahead of Chelsea clash
Midfielder Leon Britton maintains Swansea City must not take their eye off the ball as they prepare to tackle Stoke City in Premier League action this weekend.
Britton insists they must take care of business against Stoke before thoughts turn to the Capital One Cup semi-final second leg against Chelsea next Wednesday.
"We have a really busy schedule, with the games against Chelsea and the league fixtures," the midfielder said.
"The big one is Stoke on Saturday - we cannot look too far ahead. The league is still so important for us.
"I know we are on 30 points and doing well, but if you take your eye off the ball, we will start coming a cropper and start to look over our shoulders.
"We will take a couple of days to recover now and get ready for Stoke. Hopefully we can get a positive result, then we can look towards Chelsea.
"We want to get to 40 points as quickly as possible. Hopefully when we have reached that, we can look at other targets.
"We will try to do well against Chelsea and try to get to the Capital One Cup final, which would be great for everyone in the city."
