Nigel Pearson knows Leicester must remain consistent to beat Middlesbrough

Manager Nigel Pearson believes Leicester will begin the weekend in the automatic promotion places if they can maintain the level of their recent performances against Middlesbrough on Friday night.

The Foxes have won their last four matches in all competitions, hammering Huddersfield 6-1 and beating Bristol City 4-0 in their last two league outings.
Pearson's side are currently playing some of their best football of the season and he is keen for that to continue against one of their promotion rivals.
Victory for either team at the King Power Stadium will see them move up to second place in the table ahead of Saturday's fixtures.
earson told the media ahead of the match: "It's a game both sides will be trying to win because there are incentives. But our focus is on getting our own performance right because we know, if we do that, we've got a good chance of winning.
"There's no getting away from the fact that the players have been performing well. Against Bristol City, we have played better than that this season but we were able to get an emphatic win - which is really important for us at the moment.
"At the moment it's about keeping our focus on getting performances right, because we know we have good players.
"But Middlesbrough are having a really good season. (Boro boss) Tony Mowbray is very thorough with his preparation and they will be a difficult nut to crack. We know we're coming up against a very good side."
